YORUBA

YORUBA The Yoruba people are a West-African ethnic group who are well known for their distinctive clothing. Their traditional dress is often vibrantly coloured and patterned to reflect the personality of the wearer. This illustration is based on a traditional Yoruba woman’s outfit which includes a Gele (headwrap), Buba (blouse) and Iro (wrap around skirt).
